GPS EXERCISE

I have made up a short walk (approximately 2 miles out and back) using a handheld GPS and waypoints although it can be extended to a longer walk if you wish.  The Club has two GPS units which can be borrowed - they have to be signed out and in. To gain access to them see a member of the General or Sailing Comittee or a Class Captain.  You have to drive about six miles from Marazion to the start of the walk and there is a geocache at the end of it.  All of the waypoints are pre loaded on the club GPS units - including the extended route - or you can enter them into your own GPS.  The details (including information about footwear) are on printed sheets in the Clubhouse "results rack", on the Notice Board in the Changing Rooms vestibule or from me via email. The GPS units have instruction books with them. The geocache will remain in position until at least Easter Monday - please respect the location and leave it as you find it.  I hope you enjoy it and look forward to any comments in the Visitors Book! Good luck. Malcolm

Re: GPS EXERCISE

Hi,  As far as I'm aware nobody has undertaken the walk yet and the box has only been visited by me and a couple of friends who joined us on the walk.  I wonder who will be the first independent visitors to find it and sign in?  It is a little wet under foot at the moment but does drain quite quickly and is still easily accessible with good walking boots or wellies.
