Mount's Bay Sailing Club

About our club  >  Visitors

Mount's Bay Sailing Club welcomes visiting sailors. Whether you just wish to pop in and see us or participate in our racing programme you will be very welcome.

Mount's Bay offers easy launching from a wide sandy beach and safe sea sailing on courses set close inshore. Marazion offers ample accommodation of all types and has excellent restaurants and pubs. Cornwall offers wonderful beaches and coastal walks and a wide range of attractions that caters for most age groups and interests.

To use our facilities you will need to become a temporary member; please apply at the clubhouse - it's only £10 for one week or £15 for two weeks. We can normally accommodate temporary members' dinghies in our dinghy pen at no additional cost. There are convenient car parks either side of the dinghy pen.

Regatta

The Club's annual Regatta - a full day of class and handicap racing, followed by a barbecue - will take place on Sunday 15 July. Visitors are very welcome to participate.

Family Sailing Week

Each Summer we hold a "Family Sailing Week", now called MBSC Week. The programme is designed to leave families free to enjoy everything that Cornwall has to offer during the day followed by relaxed club-level racing (for monohull dinghies) at 7.00 pm.

In 2007, MBSC Week will take place from Tuesday 24 July to Friday 27 July. Visitors are very welcome to participate.

Championships and Open Meetings

If you are a competitor or crew in a championship or open meeting hosted or organized by the Club you are automatically a temporary member during the event and for 24 hours immediately preceding and following the event.
