Regatta 2010 - Sunday 4 July 2010
Next Sunday, 4 July 2010, is Club Regatta Day. It would be good to see as many boats on the water as possible. Race Officer, Paula, has some great dinghy racing planned - 3 races back to back - as well as a cruiser race. All followed by prize giving and a BBQ in the Clubhouse afterwards.

Change to Sailing Programme
This Sunday (6 June 2010) the Club holds its Laser Open Meeting. There will be no MBSC Weekend Series Race for the Laser Fleet on that day. There will, however, be Weekend Series races for all other classes; the preparatory signal for the first class will be at 10:24 hrs. Laser Sailors who do not wish to sail in the Open Meeting may sail with the Fast Handicap Fleet.

John Currie 2nd in RYA Youth Nationals
Congratulations to Club Laser Sailor John Currie who last week achieved second place in the Laser Radial fleet at the RYA Youth Nationals. Fantastic result!

Club Open Day - Sunday 9 May
The Club is holding an Open Day on Sunday 9 May from 1pm to 4pm.
Please bring your friends to show off our club and encourage them to become members. The bar will be open and there will be a light buffet. Most of the club officers will be present to meet and greet our guests and to help answer any questions.
If you are not a member or a friend of a member you are welcome too.

2010 Sailing Starts
The 2010 Sailing Season starts with pre-season training, organised by the Laser Class, but open to all, on Sunday 21 March 2010 - 14:00 hours start.
If you have paid a dinghy pen fee and signed a 2010 Dinghy Pen Agreement, your boat may now be placed in the dinghy pen.

Sailing Talk - 22 January 2010
Tonight's (Friday 22 January 2010) Winter Programme - 19:30 hours start - will be a DVD on downwind sailing by Steve Cockerill. This is a most informative DVD and even if you have seen it before you will still learn something from it. You don’t have to sail a laser to appreciate it - the principles apply to all boats from mirrors to asymmetrics to.
The DVD will be followed by the usual Friday Club night social.
